Foces de El Pino - Foces de Ruayer. PR-AS 31
Description
The route begins in the village of El Pino, from where we start towards the Braña riverbed, which we will cross following the signs of the trail. Immediately we find the Molín de Peón building, where there is a crossroads, where we will have to take the path to the left. Soon we are surrounded by the native forest, dominated by species such as chestnut, hazel and some sessile oaks. We continue the path that runs between green meadows and we arrive at the Foces de El Pino, an imposing limestone gorge through which the waters of the river Valmartín flow, leaving behind numerous waterfalls that are a real treat for the senses. This natural area is protected as a Natural Monument. We cross the gorge along the paved road, until we reach the last bridge known as El Posaero. At this point we turn left towards the sheepfold of Las Campas. We continue ascending until we reach Caniella pass, and from here we continue descending, leaving behind us the sites of L'Acebal and Carbayalín. At this last point, the path connects with the Vegarada / Vegará pass track. We continue descending and arrive at the pretty village of Ruayer. From here we continue our way, which is nearing the end, and cross the Foces de Ruayer, a gorge carved by the waters of the river that gives it its name. We continue until we reach La Paraya, the final point of the
